Sea Scout 18' POWER and POWER CABIN
SS power boats are designed specially for fishing use. Boats
are extremely fast, safe and modern and can be used for any
kind of trawelling.
SS18 have a quite deep v-hull but with the rigth engine this
very special construction can fly like a rocket.
Hull is made from special fibers laminated over ply. Elephant
technology quarantees that the hull is very strong, strength
against impacts is highest available. With the right methods,
following the building manual hull lasts forever. Needs minimal
care and repairing is very easy.
Sea Scout is very nice looking, modern contruction together
with wooden interior and nice wooden decorations. If you are
tired of watching plastic boxes, this is for you.
Construction is fibers, ax.glassfibres and kevlar over ply.
In the hull there can be also used oak, mahogny, teak, etc.
Coatings and protections is made using Elelphant System
105 LV (Slow,LowVisc)
or 105Q LV (Middle Fast, LowVisc).
Specially developed for thin fibers, kevlar and carbon
giving extra strength and hardness over ply.
Very easy even beginners to work with these materials.
Hull is protected with Elephant Explorer Epoxy and over the
waterline Elephant Poly Painting System UV is used for UV-protection
and high gloss. Standard Colors are: Navy Blue, Dark Blue, Dark Green
and White. Epoxy paint is enough under the waterline in some cases,
very hard surface allowes hard washing methods. Salty waters needs
normal antifoulings.
Interior and wooden surfaces is possible to color mixing Elephant Wooden
Coloring System to epoxies. White woods can be made look like mahogny, etc.
Over the epoxies few layers of Golden Finish 2 Part Varnish and you have
just easy boating ahead.
